Anton Michelsen established his company in Copenhagen in 1841 and became one of the most important jewellery families in Denmark. After a short while the company received it’s first commission from the Royal Family. The company is now part of Georg Jensen.
The Daisy design was first developed in 1940 when the now retired Danish Queen Margrethe was born and christened. Her mother Queen Ingrid was presented with a special version of the Daisy to commemorate the event. The Daisy is also the Danish national flower.
This beautiful brooch measures 4.2 diameter. Weight 16.6g. Perfect condition with no damage to the enamel.
